In the sun of East Tyrol, every cyclist gets his money’s worth. The Bike Arena Lienz Dolomites inspires with more than 40 signposted mountain bike trails in three different mountain groups. More than 300 km of bike trails meander through the Lienz Dolomites and the Hohe Tauern National Park and offer endless possibilities for varied bike tours.

Hiking in the Lienz Dolomites
Pleasure hiking, mountaineering and climbing. Succulent green meadows, rolling hills and impressive rock formations – the Dolomites in the south, the Hohe Tauern in the north and the Hochstein in the west of Lienz together form a true hiking and climbing paradise. Enjoy the beauty and originality of the region – whether on leisurely walks in the valley or on extended summit tours.
You will be supported by the Lienz cable cars. The panoramic cable car takes you to the Zettersfeld, where you can take a leisurely high-altitude hike or set off for a summit tour on the Schleinitz (2,905 m). The Hochstein area, which can be reached by chairlift in summer, is an ideal family hiking area. Petting zoo and adventure playground keep your little ones happy here.
Climbers and mountaineers will find a variety of tours of all levels of difficulty, various via ferrata and some climbing gardens in the Lienz Dolomites. In the holiday region attract more than 30 three-thousand-metre peaks to be climbed.
