Cross-country Skiing in the Lienz Dolomites
On the banks of the Isel and Drava rivers
In the Lienz valley 110 km of brilliantly prepared cross-country skiing routes await. The varied routes begin at the southern outskirts of Lienz and extend for around 30 km in the direction of Pustertal and approx. 35 km in the direction of the Drava Valley.
Enjoy the wonderful winter landscape and the incredible views of the Lienz Dolomites whilst skiing to your heart's content.
And if you still haven't had enough even after sunset, then you can still master the lit and artificially snow covered Lavant circuit.
The highlight of the cross-country season in the Lienz Dolomites is the traditional "Dolomitenlauf" ski race. For over 30 years cross-country skiers have met here in January to test out their capabilities. The Dolomitenlauf is one of the largest national sporting events in the world.
