The Hochstein is a great area for family walking especially as it is easily reachable in summer with the cable car. North of Lienz you will find the start of the Upper Tauern National Park, also beautiful for walking in. On Zettersfeld, which is easily accessible by cable car, you can find a tour of peaks over 3,000 m high.

In the valley winding along by the Isel and Drava rivers, you can find easy cycling routes. The Lienz Dolomites Bike Arena will delight every mountain biker with over 40 bike routes. On the outskirts of Lienz you can find one of the most beautiful golf courses in Austria. Before the Dolomites mountain scenery you can experience a very special tee-off.
